TOX TREATMENTS

Botox & Jeuveau Offered at Visage' M E D I S P A, of Setauket NY

Botulinum toxins are injectable compounds that relax muscles, smoothing out lines and wrinkles. There are several brands of neurotoxins, and one of the most well known is BOTOX® Cosmetic, but we also work with Jeuveau, Dysport, Xeomin.

How does BOTOX® work when injected at Visage' Medispa of Suffolk County, NY?

BOTOX® blocks the transmission of acetylcholine from the nerves to the muscle. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that sends a message to the muscle telling it to contract or tense up. With the flow of acetylcholine blocked or significantly reduced, the muscle can no longer retract and it relaxes. As a result, the wrinkled areas smooth out and soften.

When BOTOX® is administered properly you will have a wrinkle-free forehead, with plenty of expression!

1. What is the difference between Botox and Jeuveau?

Botox and Jeuveau are both FDA-approved neuromodulators used to soften expression lines caused by muscle movement. Botox has been around longer, while Jeuveau is often referred to as “Newtox” and is designed specifically for cosmetic use. During your consultation, we’ll recommend the best option for your goals.

2. What areas can Botox or Jeuveau treat?

Botox and Jeuveau are commonly used to treat forehead lines, frown lines (11s), and crow’s feet. Clients from Setauket, St. James, Belle Terre, and Poquott Village also use these treatments to achieve a smoother, more refreshed appearance without surgery.

3. How long do Botox or Jeuveau results last?

Results typically last 3 to 4 months, depending on metabolism, muscle strength, and treatment area. Many local clients schedule routine maintenance treatments to keep their results consistent year-round.

4. How soon will I see results?

You may begin to see results within 3–5 days, with full results visible by 10–14 days. Jeuveau and Botox work gradually, creating a natural softening of lines rather than an abrupt change.

5. Will Botox or Jeuveau make my face look frozen?

No. When injected properly, results should look natural and expressive. Our approach focuses on subtle enhancement so clients in St. James and Setauket look refreshed — not overdone.

6. Is Botox or Jeuveau safe?

Yes. Both are FDA-approved and have an excellent safety profile when administered by trained medical professionals. Safety and precision are always our top priorities for clients in Belle Terre and Poquott Village.

7. Does Botox or Jeuveau hurt?

Discomfort is minimal and brief. Treatments are quick, and most clients describe the sensation as a small pinch. The entire appointment often takes less than 15 minutes.

8. Is there downtime after Botox or Jeuveau?

There is little to no downtime. Some clients experience mild redness or swelling at injection sites, which usually resolves within a few hours. Most people return to daily activities the same day.

9. How do I know whether Botox or Jeuveau is right for me?

During your consultation, we evaluate your facial anatomy, skin concerns, and aesthetic goals. Based on that assessment, we’ll recommend either Botox or Jeuveau or a customized treatment plan.

10. How much does Botox or Jeuveau cost in Setauket and the surrounding areas?

Pricing depends on the number of units needed and the treatment area. We believe in transparent pricing and personalized plans tailored to each client, never a one-size-fits-all approach.
