At Visage' MEDISPA in East Setauket, NY, our Spectra Skin & Scalp Analysis gives us a detailed look at your skin so we can build a more personalized skincare and treatment plan based on what we're actually seeing.

Whether you're concerned about fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation, acne, enlarged pores, uneven texture, redness or the overall health and appearance of your skin, Spectra gives us another tool to help take the guesswork out of your skincare journey.

Your Spectra Skin Analysis is $75.

When you decide to move forward with an eligible treatment, your $75 is applied toward your treatment.

What Is a Spectra Skin Analysis?

Think of your Spectra appointment as a deeper look at your skin.

A traditional consultation is incredibly valuable, but the naked eye can only tell us so much.

The Spectra Skin Analyzer uses high-resolution imaging and multiple imaging modes, including RGB, UV, and PL spectrum imaging, to capture and analyze different characteristics of the skin. The system can also magnify specific areas and generate reports that can be used to help personalize recommendations.

Instead of simply saying:

“I think my skin looks older.”

or

“I have dark spots, but I'm not sure what they are.”

We can take a closer look at what's happening and use that information as part of your consultation.

Better information. Better conversations. A more personalized plan.

What Can The Spectra Device  Analyze?

Depending on the imaging mode and area being evaluated, the Spectra Digital skin analysis device can provide information related to:

Sun & UV Damage
Take a closer look at signs of accumulated sun exposure and areas of concern that may not be as obvious under normal lighting.

Pigmentation
Evaluate areas of uneven pigmentation and discoloration to help guide conversations about appropriate skincare and treatment options.

Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Get a more detailed look at visible signs of skin aging.

Pores
Identify areas where pores appear enlarged or more prominent.

Skin Texture & Roughness
Evaluate uneven texture and roughness that can make the skin appear dull or less smooth.

Acne & Congestion
Take a closer look at acne-prone and congested areas as part of developing an appropriate skincare strategy.

Redness
Evaluate areas of visible redness and uneven-looking skin tone.

Overall Skin Condition
Instead of focusing on one concern in isolation, we can look at multiple characteristics of your skin together.

The system evaluates up to 18 skin concerns and provides full-face and localized analysis, magnification, and score-based reporting.

Your Skin Isn't One-Size-Fits-All. Your Treatment Plan Shouldn't Be Either.

Two people can walk into Visage’ complaining about “aging skin” and need completely different approaches.

One person may primarily be dealing with sun damage and pigmentation.  Another may have relatively even pigmentation but be concerned about texture, fine lines, and loss of firmness. The same thing happens with acne. One client may have active breakouts and congestion, while another no longer has significant acne but is bothered by the texture and discoloration left behind. That's why we don't believe in automatically recommending the same treatment to everyone.

Your Spectra analysis becomes another piece of information we can use alongside your concerns, history, and professional consultation to help determine where to start.

From Skin Analysis to a Personalized Treatment Plan

This is where the Spectra analysis becomes especially useful.

Once we have a better understanding of your skin, we can discuss which Visage’ treatments may be appropriate for your individual concerns and you will walk away with a comprehensive skin care plan!

See Your Progress, Not Just Your Reflection

One of my favorite things about incorporating skin imaging into a treatment plan is the ability to document your starting point.

The Spectra Device includes client records and before-and-after comparison capabilities, allowing images to be compared over time.

That's valuable because skincare changes aren't always dramatic from one morning to the next.

When you see your face every day, gradual improvements can be difficult to notice.

With consistent imaging, we can evaluate your skin over time and use those comparisons as another way to discuss how your plan is progressing.

Don't just hope your skincare is working. Track your journey.

Spectra Scalp Analysis

Spectra isn't limited to the face.

The system also includes high-resolution magnification that the manufacturer says can be used for detailed analysis of localized areas, including the scalp.

A closer look at the scalp can provide useful visual information about its surface condition and help guide conversations about appropriate scalp care.

It's important to understand that a cosmetic scalp analysis isn't a medical diagnosis or a substitute for evaluation by a dermatologist or physician, particularly if you're experiencing unexplained hair loss, scalp lesions, significant inflammation or another medical concern.

Who Should Consider a Spectra Skin Analysis?

You don't need to have a major skin concern.

A Spectra analysis can be especially helpful if you:

  • Aren't sure which facial or treatment you should book

  • Have tried numerous skincare products without knowing what's actually right for you

  • Are concerned about sun damage or dark spots

  • Want to address fine lines and signs of aging

  • Struggle with acne or post-acne concerns

  • Are bothered by pores or uneven texture

  • Want to establish a professional anti-aging skincare plan

  • Want a baseline before beginning a series of treatments

  • Want to track changes in your skin over time

  • Simply want to understand your skin better

How Much Is a Spectra Skin Analysis?
$75

And here's the important part:

Your $75 is applied toward your eligible treatment when you decide to move forward.

We don't want your consultation to end with a piece of paper telling you everything that's “wrong” with your skin.

The purpose is to give us better information so we can help you decide what to do next.
